Portuguese giants Benfica have made a fresh enquiry for Arsenal's Costa Rican forward Joel Campbell.
They are prepared to pay a £600,000 loan fee or £10million to make it a permanent switch for the Costa Rican.
Portuguese
media are reporting that Joel Campbell has told Arsenal that he wants
to join Benfica because he is fed-up of not getting first team chances.
AC Milan were also keen on Campbell and it appears the player's head has been turned.
But Arsenal are unlikely to let Campbell go unless they get another forward in.
Intriguingly, Arsenal are believed to have offered Campbell in a player-plus-cash deal for QPR striker Loic Remy.
They
made a phone call on Remy but QPR clearly didn't fancy Campbell and so
the buy-out clause wasn't activated and Chelsea got their man.
